Anglezarke Reservoir

A Members water with day tickets available and run by Southport & District Angling Association, Anglezarke Reservoir fishing is approx one mile East of Chorley.

Access points are via: Northern end Moor Lane. The south dam wall Knowsley Lane & Back Lane.

Parking is mainly roadside, however back Lane has a good purpose built anglers car park, a Southport & District Angling Association gate key is required. Please see also www.sdaa.org.uk/waters/ for further details.

Anglezarke Reservoir

Fishing Anglezarke Reservoir, Chorley PR6 9DQ


Vast water reservoir is situated east of Chorley, Lancashire at the foot of the pennines. This fishing Reservoir has a area of over 190 acres and supplies local areas with drinking water. Micro pellets, maggots and bread mash will produce in the feeder.

Anglezarke Reservoir Fishing – Known Fish Species


Well known throughout the North West for bream fishing, with big bags of fish being caught in a session. Additionally the Reservoir also holds a good head of roach and specimen pike.

Fishing Rules

  • Ground baiting of any kind is banned.
  • The use of feeders and maggot loose feed is permitted.
  • No night fishing, dawn to dusk only.
  • Certain areas of the reservoir are set aside for conservation and fishing is not allowed within them.
  • During the close season only certain parts of the reservoir are open for fishing.
  • Alcohol is not allowed.
  • No dogs
  • Day tickets are not sold on the banks. Day tickets must be purchased from the regular outlets before fishing.
