Borwick Fishing in Lancashire is now mature and superb looking Fishing Venue suitable for everyone, with specimen Carp as well as plenty of Fishing opportunities for general coarse fishing. The lakes are stocked with Carp, Pike, Catfish, Bream, Roach, Rudd, Tench and others. The Carp are big and there are also big Pike to be caught here (specific Pike season October – March though please check before you travel.) In fact it looks like most fish run to specimen size.

The main lake, called Jimmy’s Lake is a large open water with nicely spaced and comfortable pegs suitable for bevvies & overnight sessions. The focus on Jimmy’s Lake is Carp and they are Big Carp in here. Walk round the lake on a summers day and you will see many big fish, which makes it an exciting lake to fish. There are members season tickets here so if its nice in the summer please check you can get on before you travel any distance as you would expect members get priority and in the summer you may only get on Jimmy’s Lake if you buy a 24 hour ticket which is ยฃ25.

On site there is a tackle shop stocking a few essential bits and bobs some baits, there are also toilets and there used to be a restaurant, Catch 23, though this has now closed due to retirement (see www.catch-23.co.uk).

The Fishery is open from 8am to 7pm, night fishing of course outside these hours but I think the gates are shut at other times.

There are 9 lakes in total offer different fishing, so you should find a peg to your liking.

As Fishing Venues go In Lancashire this is one of the best and being set on a site of 80 acres there is plenty of space to enjoy your days fishing. An excellent Fishery.
