Providing two fishing lakes Rosemary Wood Fishery Haskayne is located between Liverpool & Southport in Lancashire, Rosemary Wood Fishery is a commercial Carp fishery with fishing for Specimen hunters, day ticket & match anglers.
Moss Lake is around five 5 acres with approximatly 50 pegs, Island Pool is circa 3 acres and 41 pegs
Mainly a Carp fishery there are plenty of other fish species including Roach – Bream – Ide – Chub – Tench – Orfe Perch and some Pike. The fishery has good parking closet to the lakes, plenty of fishing pegs you can drive up to. The is a small onsite shop stocking a few essentials and some cold food and drinks.
The web site details matches in recent years with good weights caught, though has not been updated this year from what i can see. There is a gallery showing some cracking fish, mainly Carp as you would expect, looks a smashing place to fish certainly one we will be fishing this year.
Gets a great fishing write up here in the Liverpool Echo including comment such as “Walking around this beautiful fishery set in the idyllic Haskayne countryside I was soon made aware of fish movements on both lakes as a huge carp rolled nearby and silver fish were frequently seen topping” sounds fabulous and “At the weigh in, this again became evident as Saints angler Steve Boyd pegged on peg 7 pulling out an 80lb catch made up of a few small carp and a fantastic catch of pristine conditioned skimmers to 2lb. Steve took all his fish on the pole using soft pellet at just 6-10 metres” which offer some good advice and tips on how this fishery might to tackled !!
