Summer is close, beautiful blue sky’s have arrived, but theres still a nip in the air.
A couple of trips this week after a very heavy frost has made fishing quite tricky. My suggestion is look for deep or running water, and with it being the closed season – deep water venues are the places to target. Look for 6ft plus and you tend to find the fish will still feed, I suppose there is not as much fluctuation in water temperature.
Wrap up warm theres nothing worse than sitting on the bank and feeling the cold and that peg in the sun is not always available or where you want to sit, take a warm drink and perhaps invest in a hand warmer – cold hands make life difficult.
If all else fails save the brownie points and go when the frosts have passed, but can there be a nicer place to sit that that shown above, even in the cold, Probably not.
