The River Ribble, Ribchester two kilometres of single bank fishing between Ribchester Village and Redbank; details can be found on the club web site www.radac.org.uk/ribchester.htm Below are more River Ribble Fishing in Lancashire opportunities.
Fish in this stretch of the River Ribble includes Chub, Barbel, Dace, Eels, Grayling and Dace plus of course Trout and Sea Trout so there is plenty to fish for in this beautiful River.

River Ribble Village Front (RDAC)
Day Tickets for fishing this section of the River Ribble (Shown Below) are available from the SPAR shop in Ribchester, opposite the Black Bull.
Adult, coarse and trout only – ยฃ5
Salmon and sea trout – ยฃ10
Junior (under 14 years), coarse and non-migratory trout only – 50p
Approximately 400 yards of fishing called the Village Front Stretch

Your day ticket entitles you to fish the Village Stretch only. The upstream limit is marked by a concrete โtushโ at the top of the allotments; the downstream by rocks before the farm.
RADAC DAY TICKET RULES
- Your day ticket entitles you to fish only on the day you nominate. Anglers wishing to fish through the night i.e. past midnight must purchase additional tickets. Anglers fishing the Village Stretch overnight must avoid excessive noise or other behaviours likely to cause annoyance to nearby residents. Failure to do so may prevent future night fishing. All legitimate baits and styles of angling are permitted except that no prawn or shrimp baits may be used. You may fish with no more that two rods at any one time (no matter how many licences you hold).
- The use of โlead coreโ leaders is prohibited.
- Barbel and carp may not be kept in keep nets.
- No coarse fish may be killed or otherwise taken away from the water.
- A maximum of two Brown Trout or Sea Trout may be killed in each visit.
- Anglers, especially fly fishermen, must be alert to people using the Village front behind them for recreation.
- On demand the holder of a day ticket must produce it, and his EA licence, when requested by an EA bailiff or RADAC member.
Tickle Trout M6 Junction 31 Samlesbury
Located behind the BP petrol station and Tickle Trout hotel the River Ribble here is available on a day ticket purchased from the petrol station. There is also a car car at the petrol station which i think is free for paying anglers.
This section (South side of the river) runs from Preston Road Bridge near the Petrol Station downstream to little brook and upstream from Preston Road Bridge to the back of Samlesbury School (approximately 1 mile) Postcode for Tickle Trout Section PR5 OUJ. See Day ticket below.
River Ribble Hurst Green
Warrington Anglers control a section of the Ribble know as Hurst Green details can be found here www.warrington-anglers.org.uk there are no day tickets this is a members only section, there are some interesting fish reports including Bream, Roach, Barbel, Dace, Chub, Pike and Carp! (though the Bream and Carp are unconfirmed) often held in some of the large pools along this section of the river.
There are access points at Clough Bank Farm (parking fee), Through House Farm (free parking) and the stretch of river is approximately 1.5 miles of single bank fishing, which also holds Trout, Sea Trout and Salmon. Its worth noting these sections of the Ribble can involve a bit of a walk.
River Ribble Fishing Church Deeps Preston
A section of the Ribble here is controlled by Southport and District Angling Association, some details can be found here www.sdaa.org.uk this is also a members only section and care is needed on this often steep banked, deep and tidal section of the River Ribble in Lancashire.
Big Barbel into double figures, Bream, Pike, Chub and Roach can all be caught fishing this section of the Ribble. Please note there is no night fishing, a key is available with membership for access and no dogs are allowed. The River controlled by SDAA is located off the B6230, Church Brow at Walton-Le-Dale
Prince Albert Angling Society
The Prince Albert AS have some 15 or so fishing stretches on the River Ribble as listed below.
